:lmao: that's what I did with the new fridge box. The kids had a blast decoration it with paint and since it was all done putside, I just squirted them off with the hose. Fun for all.
It lasted for almost a week.

To get ideas, I usually go to Amazon.com, look in the toy section and there should be an option to search on toys by age.

Not sure what kind of a budget you are on, but my neice is 4 and she is going through this bug, frog, and worm catching thing. We bought her a little kit that had a bug farm holder, net, anti-bacterial lotion, gloves, shovel, and a little safari kinda hat and we wrapped it up in a bug wrapping paper kinda thing. Kinda like a little gift basket. We got most of the stuff at CVS where they have their little clearance section and at the $1 store. She thinks its wonderful?

Oh crap. You said 3 year old boy, not 30 year old boy.

My son turned 3 two weeks ago. He got his first bike with training wheels and new tee ball set. He loved them!

You can also flatten them out and use as a sled in the winter.

A toddler size adjustable basketball hoop (Little Tykes?) will last for years. My son used his until he was 11 and we gave it to the neighbor's kids.

Winter hell! You can ride cardboard down the steps too! Hours of fun.
