A Thousand Splendid Suns

This is a great book - by Khaled Hosseini. If you like reading about other cultures - it's so spot on from the female point of view I was wondering whether his wife did more than proof read...it's harrowing but ultimately worth the read. I have gone and got 'The Kite Runner' from the library cos everybody swears by that one too.

"The Kite Runner" was the best book I have ever read!!! I bought his other book but haven't read it yet.

I also really enjoyed 'Water For Elephants' by Sara Gruen (can you tell I haven't got much past the bestseller racks recently!
