PPA is the best diet drug/appetite suppressant in the world. They knocked it out of Dexatrim years ago.

I get tired of the FDA and all their warnings. Why don't they just tell you the possible side-effects and then butt out? You see commercials for Levitra or Cialis or whatever on TV and they have a list of possible side-effects a mile long, yet they haven't been banned. Why PPA? Did the manufacturers not grease enough palms or something?

and.....a lot of those drugs are still on the market. I guess they took out the bad stuff.
Yep. They changed the forumulas and now the drugs don't work like they should. I don't even bother buying them anymore. :ohwell:

Did you see where they're considering making you show ID when purchasing certain drugs so they can track it? Apparently druggies are buying up cold medicines and whatnot that contain certain ingredients to get high.

Mucinex D works great for me but you have to sign for it so they can track your meth lab.

I have been having to show photo ID and sign my life away for going on a year now whenever I want to purchase Claritin-D OTC. :cussing: It wasn't until SOMD.COM news posted an article about this that I realized if I purchase over a certain limit within a certain timeframe I could get "audited"...:cussing: I buy for a family of 4 and there are a couple times during the year when it's sniffle season and we are all taking it.

I love that stuff! (The signing, not the drug itself) Our government is so retarded. Instead of examining a problem and coming up with a reasonable solution, they just knee-jerk with the first idiotic thing that pops into their heads.

I'm sorry, Mrs. Kwilly, you have purchased more than the annual limit of cold medicine. We're going to have to take you downtown for questioning.

:roflmao:

Really? I guess I must not have bought anything tracking worthy. :frown:

I am so glad I stopped working in a pharmacy years ago. Seems like every year another regulation is slapped on to protect the world's idiots. But then again, they are out there. There is a reason why they must put "by mouth" etc on RX labels. Heard more than one story of kids with ear infections going back to their doctors with *pink ears*.

I had people kvetching about signing for diabetic needles. Yeah, the purpose is to make sure they don't get in the hands of drug abusers. A lack of fresh needles will keep an addict from shooting up? Sure it will! After all, HIV and Hep-B were never spread by needles were they?
