Black Eyed Peas with Hog Jowl bacon

I cut the bacon into approx 3/4" squares cooked them a few hours last night then warmed them up today

of course I had to add chili powder to my servings 3 bowls so far

I need to make some corn bread now



I am just sorry the house is empty and there is no one to share the aftermath with

I fried spicy bulk sausage with sweet onions and added to blackeyed peas and long grain wild rice, with a cream of celery chicken broth base..............and hot corn bread!!

I did blackeyed peas with bacon and took them to my girlfriend's house for dinner.
