Ghost in the machine

Larry's CD drive keeps opening and closing, opening and closing - all by itself. It doesn't seem to be particularly dirty but I cleaned it anyway. I reloaded the drivers - still freaking out. Does he maybe have some weird virus? Virus scan didn't pick anything up.

Any suggestions?

Check to see if the eject button is stuck.

Or use http://housecall.antivirus.com/ to check the system.

Eject button doesn't appear to be stuck. I checked the wires for maybe a short or something and they seem to be fine.
