Yeah it is basically the D40 body (no auto focus with E and D lenses), with the D80 sensor, and has some of the elec. and the software of the D3 and D300. Sucks that it doesn't have the mechanical autofocus drive from the body to the lens!


There is also rumor the Nikon will release the D60 and a D90 or D80X this friday. The rumor of the D90 doesn't seem as strong though. WOuld be nice if a D90 came out and had the mechanical autofocus.

But, WAY out of my current price range, I'm still paying for the D300. :lol:

Maybe Andy will take pity and get one from BorrowLenses.com for the Arches NP Shootout! I'd be all over that! I know he, Marc, and Schmoo were rocking the Canon T/S at Glacier.
