And ths is why more people dont adopt.

Why? Because of the $200? I'd rather pay $200 for an adopted animal (let's say it's a dog) than $400+ for one from a reputable breeder. The adopted ones are already spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, and usually already have a microchip. Spaying/neutering can easily cost $150+, vaccines can be outrageous (multiple vaccines and exam fees), not to mention the microchip.

Yep. Rassie was $175. I thought maybe I'd get a discount because she was 8, but no dice.......She's worth it though.

I agree, once you pay for them and get them home, theres no turning back the love. They are always worth it. But why the high cost, lower the cost and make it easier.
