Did they say specifically what he's allergic to? Have you taken him to an actual Ear, Nose, Throat specialist, or just the pediatrician?
He's allergic to 3 kinds of grasses, dust mites, cats, peanuts and slightly to yeast. They tested him for like 65 things yesterday and these are the same ones that he tested positive for at 9 months old (plus a few more that we think his has already outgrown b/c they didn't seem to bother him yesterday or turn red - dog, mold, blah, blah, blah the usual ones).
He does have an ENT, he's been seeing Dr. Daly since 6 months old and got his first set of tubes at 8 months due to chronic ear infections. And as soon at the tubes fall out he has constant ear infections until he gets another set. He does have speech problems too and is in therapy 2 days a week at his school for that. He also sees Dr. Fink and Dr. Chaney, two of the greatest pulmonary doctors on the east coast, for his asthma and they recommended his allergiest b/c they feel his asthma is triggered by his allergies at times as well. I'm not a medical person but if the allergiest thinks the allergies are causing the ear infections which is causing the speech problems, it's just too much of a down hill spiral I think.
He doesn't like shots/needles, what kid does, but he never cries anymore when they do blood work or even for an IV (my baby is growing up too fast). When he gets these sinus/allergy infections he need an antibiotic to clear them up, they won't go away on their own, and I hate him being on one at least once a month. I was just wondering if anyone had any bad experiences/reactions from the shots.
