Need Information for School

I am doing a project for my Economics class at CSM and the topic  I am doing is on Welfare.  I need to know where I can find sites and articles that describes the types of welfare there is, as well as the guidelines for it.  I need to show how much money one family can receive on welfare.  Does anyone know how I can find this out without pretending to apply for it?

I would start here http://www.dhr.state.md.us/services.htm as this is the table of contents for the office that has responsibility for the welfare services.
