I keep getting all this mail from porn sites and medicine sites. I NEVER visited any of these pages, I have unsubscribed my address, but I still get them. I have blocked sender but they just keep coming with different email names and address. Does anyone know what I can do?? It is driving me crazy! I use Out Look, and have Erols, internet server. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!:bawl:

I had Erol's and got rid of them for the same reason. I never went to any sites and the porn poured in.

Never try to reply with the instructions to 'remove me' - that just generates MORE spam since they now know they have a valid email address.

I've been with Earthlink for over 2 years and have NEVER gotten any spam. :yay:

Exactly - By law they have to take you off of their mailing list which they do, however, they add you to their mailing list of valid addresses (since you just verified it by asking to be removed) which they sell to other spammers.

I don't know anything about Erol's but a lot of companies offer spam blocking software. Check your "options." It doesn't get rid of all of it but it helps.

Also, see if you can block just the domain name (the part after the @) instead of the whole thing. Sometimes these people are using the same domain with different ID's. Be careful if you do this though, you don't want to block domains you might be getting legitimate mail from but you can feel pretty safe blocking things like "@directmail.com" "@spammail.com" etc.
