Saint Mary's county has a pretty active amateur radio community.
The primary repeater in this area is 146.640 MHz located on the edge of the Patuxent River Naval Air Station near gate 1. It has a standard offset with no tone or access restrictions. Its operated by the Saint Mary's County Amateur Radio Association (SMCARA). They have a web page at http://www.qsl.net/smcara which lists the other repeaters in this area. I can't seem to access it right now, but I know the URL is correct. Hope this information helps.
