 Alright you turkeys..... I hated to see it, but the Marlins outpitched and outplayed the Yankees, but hey, it's just as the Redskin fans always say..............."there's always next year!"

I'm waitin' for the Skins' to play Dallas next week! Maybe if this current quarterback core dosen't work out, Spurrious Steve will in fact, bring back Danny Weurffel(sp?).

Get it right, Penn, it's WIFFLE...Danny Wiffle.

:smoochy: Missed you today!!
:huggy: I missed you too, hon. We'll all get together soon, I'm sure.
 Bright spot of the afternoon though, was the underdog Giants win over the UNDEFEATED Vikings! 29 - 17!

How in the h&ll did they do that? I figured it was butt kicking time from Minnesota. It wasn't televised here locally, so all I could do was keep an eye on the sports tickers.
.
In the middle of the 4th quarter, it was 17 - 16 Vikings. Then the next ticker display I saw said: 29 - 17 Final! What?!? (sputter, sputter!)

Hoo-Ray!!

 You know things are really bad(sad, too) for the Redskins
when their hometown newspaper - The Washington Times - won't even rank them above the team that is tied with them in the NFC East standings.

I've been reading this newspaper for a while, and I've noticed the Times has, in the past, boldfaced the type and will list the 'skins, Orioles, Caps, Lizards and etc. above a rival team with the same record.

Not this week; today's sports section lists the Redskins below the New York Football GIANTS, as they should be.

Someone is finally getting it at the Times.

I wish there...

...was even an inkling of hope so I could fire back at 'cha.

But. Alas...

Things are so effed up Danny Weurfel isn't even interested and we're gonna sign a guy who films drugged date gang rapes invloving his best friends and eats X for kicks.

He's bringing a whole new meaning to 'team chemistry'.

This is turning into a soap opera...

:bawl:

Wash Post...

...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A26559-2003Oct27.html

The Skins are an absolute mess. There is no creative tension or dynamic between coach and GM. There is no continuity or "Redskins" way anymore. Hell, nobody stays long enough for there to be one.

What we have is an owner who, I believe, wants to win Super Bowls as bad as any fan but just is going about it in a fashion that IF it happens, who'll care? What will it mean when a bunch of guys with no tie to the fans or area walk off with a trophy and then dissapear.

Maybe this is simply the way of the league today but I challenge you, as a Giants fan, to picture your team then verbalize right away what you associate with them today.

Now, the Jets.

Rams.

Browns.

Fish.

Skins.

Tell me what you got.

"I got what you got" is my initial thought teamwise.
It IS the way of the league it seems, the way players can shift from team to team, almost at will.
What they don't seem to get between their ears is - there's no time to develop "team chemistry". Nobody gels together overnight.
My other thought about the Giants is: they have started pretty much the same, I think, since Jim Fassel took over Head Coach - that they lose early in the year and then start coming on during the mid-season.

Put it down to chemistry? I don't know for sure, could be.

What else is new? The coaching? Or is it the Head Coach making adjustments with player personnel, subtle movements maximizing his player's strengths?

Now...WHY...

...in the name of Goerge Allen are you trying to be sypathetic to my team?

If the Giants were having the kind of chaos the Skins are I'd be getting out the salt shaker.

I mean, we got us a guy now, erstwhile pornographer and X popper. The Raiders don't want him. THE RAIDERS!!! What's next? Bribe Dexter Manley out of retirement?

We are so screwed...
