We've had these parties once a month for over 2 years now. A lot of the regulars have moved on (military relocated) so we are looking to fill the empty spaces. You "must" contact either of the people below to reserve a spot.

WHAT: Local Area Network (LAN) Party
WHERE: Community House
WHEN: Friday, 5 Dec 2003, 1700 until ??

Computer Recreational Users Dalgren Division is hosting a LAN Party Friday, Dec 5th. What's a LAN Party? It's where people can get together and do a little multiplayer computer gaming.

The Community House will be unlocked at approximately 5pm and anyone is welcome to come and set up their computer after that time. Seating may be limited so if you are interested please respond as soon as you know you can commit to that date and time.

THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT!! Of course, if you want to chip in for pizza and/or sodas you are welcome to do so. You are also welcome to bring your own food or beverage.

Basically, here's the agenda:

1. Show up to the Community House with your computer gear (must have a networking card).

2. Plug into the LAN.

3. Play multiplayer LAN games (like Battlefield 1942, Starcraft, Unreal Tournament 2003, NASCAR, Warcraft III, Rise of Nations, CAll of Duty, etc.) until you fall over from exhaustion or the next morning arrives, whichever comes first.

There is additional information at http://www.geocities.com/cruddparty/

Website above has not been updated in over a year so contact us directly if you have any questions about it.

Age of attendees range from 6 to 60 so don't feel your to young or old to attend. If under 16 we require a parent to attend and participate as well. Dahlgren is approx. 40 minutes from Charlotte Hall/Mechanicsville and 35 from Waldorf to give you an idea how far it is.

POCs for the event are Mr. Ken St. Clair (mailto: ken.stclair@nnsoc.navy.mil, 653-5560) and Sam Cage (mailto: sam.cage@nnsoc.navy.mil)
