An automobile came to a sudden unexpected stop.

LA PLATA ( Sept. 8, 2009) --- Maryland State Police report that their preliminary investigation revealed that a 1999 Silver Ford Mustang being operated by Jeffrey Daniel Milan, 25, of Nanjemoy, was traveling eastbound on MD Route 6 W/O Cooksey Road at about 8 am when the driver, who police say was speeding, wrecked and died.
Milan lost control of the vehicle subsequently colliding with the guardrail. After initially colliding with the guardrail the Mustang crossed both lanes of traffic subsequently entering the wood line and striking a tree.
Adrian Paul Proffer, 26, of Hollywood and Kristina Himes, 24, also of Hollywood, suffered life threatening injuries, say police.
Preliminary Investigation revealed that speed was a factor in the collision.
