Whoooa! A friend of mine and I discussed this very thing yesterday. My answer yes.

I would say that it depends on the intent and content of the conversation. If you are doing it for sexual stimulation/gratification/excitement, then I would say it is probably not a very good thing. But if you are just shooting bull and conversing I don't see a problem. Do you feel guilty afterwards? If so, then I think you know your answer.

An ex and I broke up after this became a major issue. My take on the whole thing was: Don't type anything that you have to remove from the screen as soon as I walk into the room. Same goes for "misinterpretation." He had ICQ, and I could look at the history of some of the talks. I "misinterpreted" alot of those according to him. If you keep it to weather, politics, religion, there aren't too many things that can be misread by a significant other and possibly get you into trouble

I can laugh about it now, knowing he is doing it to his new G/F. Funny, he cheated on me with someone on line, then he cheated with her from someone on line, then on her... the chain has been going for a few years now..

Well, maybe - but

This may seem like an odd way to look at it.. but, if the two people who are chatting over the internet and/or using their webcams too... if they both are only doing it for sexual gratification/masturbation and have no ideas of ever meeting in purpose, isn't that the same as watching porn or going to a strip bar?
 If you're at the "strip bar", you usually don't have to clean off your keyboard and/or monitor after you "calm down".

(and do not forget the Webcam, either)

:bubble: Oh, I don't know, sort of depends upon how crazy you get; you have to admit we are talking about a lot more space, now.

I mean, if you're comparing Madonna to a Raquel Welch, I'll take Miss Welch, anytime.

And I won't be held responsible for any of it, TYVM!

But really, we're talking about Cyber-Sex here, I think, and it just can't compare to the real thing; no-way, no-how, end of discussion.

However, if we're gonna leave fantasyland behind us, the main venue here is - is it grounds for adultrous activity?

Yes, in my opinion. Why else would anybody be engaging in it?

Ok, it's a thin line, but like somebody else said earlier - it depends on what your opinion of "it" is.

The only thing that's not in the equasion is the actual physical part of it; I can't speak to the feminine side of it, but I have to believe at least 90% of sex is mental for women.

Guys see it, they WANT IT. Women have to be cajoled into it.
It's a kind of teasing game, really. It's all a setup for the finale.

Anyway, I don't think I want to go much deeper here, as I think I'm probably pushing the limits admin will stand for.
