"CH2M Hill Cos. Ltd. said it has been awarded a contract by Encore Acquisition Co. to work on its "Greencore Project," a 230-mile pipeline that will carry carbon dioxide emissions away from a Wyoming gas plant.
The high-pressure pipeline will transport CO2 emissions from the Lost Cabin Gas Plant in Fremont County, Wyo., to Encore's Bell Creek oil field in southeastern Montana, where it will be injected into oil wells and help increase oil production.
Douglas County-based CH2M Hill said the project has the potential of reducing CO2 emissions by about 1 million metric tons a year."
