Looks to be a busy day for fire and EMS.

Someone probably trying to avoid someone else cutting over infront of them in the turn lane, and they took the bike lane. That, or (and I really REALLY hope not) the bicyclist was out in the turn lane.

At that stretch, the "turn lane" is actually half turn, half designated bike lane, and just before the light they cross over each other. Not a great design. To complicate matters, the sun was directly in the face of both the rider and driver at that time.

That's what I meant, I hope the bicyclist wasn't in the turn part of the road.

It's clear in the pictures that the victim and the bike came to rest in the vehicle turn portion of the road. The bike lane is on the inside, toward the travel lanes, having already crossed from outside to inside. That's not to say he was hit there, could have been in the bike lane at the time.

If that baby blue Ford truck is involved, it is identical to the one that blew through
(50 mph) a full red light at that intersection last night.
