...where are all the USC fans losing their minds?

Where are all the celebrating LSU fans who were scared they'd be in USC's shoes a week ago?

I know where the Sooner fans are: Hiding their shame.

So...

BCS worked in this case?

Go back to the old poll system?

Playoff?

(BCS worked. LSU and OK played far tougher schedules than the beach boys)

Football season!
Coaches see these teams on a weekly basis. They play against them. They know how strong a team is, or how weak a team is. Sportswriters closely follow all the teams. Coaches and sportswriters know that one team was emotionally pumped up, while another one was flat. They know that key players for teams are injured. They know how bitter rivalries can be.

Computers don't understand any of that.

The computer based BCS system should be used only as a tiebreaker. If the same two teams are not 1-2 in both the coaches and AP polls, then the BCS computers are used to figure out who it should be. But if the people watch the teams every week, and decide to vote them number 1, that should be taken in higher regard than a bunch of computer BS.
