Does anyone have any additional frequencies other than what is on reference radio? I can only hear one side - never hear the responses. I am a beginner - give me a break.

Would help if I put in area. Lexington Park, MD

Scanner - Trunking

Try adjusting your squelch. I always put atleast one convential frequency into a bank so I know what the squelch frequency is. Turn your scanner off, turn the squelch knob all the way down. Turn your scanner back on and turn the squelch knob up slowly until you hear the static turn off.

Also, for reference, Mark's Scanners has an easier to read reference manual. Radioshack manual's can be quite overwhelming. Check it out at: Easier to Read Pro-106/197/PSR500/600 Digital Scanner Manual .
