ok, my old pc is a compaq, does anyone know were i can get a start up disk for it. darn thing worked 2 months ago great. went to set it up for jr and it won't work. and of course i can't find the start up disks for it,

I have a Compaq Presario 5330 ... I don't know squat about start-up disks and if it has to be the exact same specs (i.e., HD, ram, etc.) and all ... but if it'd work, you can borrow mine. :shrug:

well i downloaded a boot disk, still nothing. doesn't make any senses, worked fine, unplugged now i turn it on and nothing.. must have a fried motherboard :bawl:

A PCI/ISA/AGP card may have migrated out of position. I'd re-seat all the cards and the RAM, possibly the CPU, for good measure. Also unplug and re-plug the IDE cables to the hard drive and CDROM. Pretty much disassemble and re-assemble everything.
