Stupid, stupid question

Ok, so I've downloaded several songs from Kazaa on my work puter and now I'd like to get them to my home computer. Will attaching files to my e-mail account at work, to a private account for personal use be feasible?

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks for the help.

Depends...

On the size limit set on your E-mail account.

If you are on a high speed speed cable internet connection...it might be possible....if you aren't then it may not be.

Let me explain, most cable internet companies (plus some DSL) give their customers an E-mail account of 5 megs...most dial-up ISP's usually only give 1-3 megs of E-mail space.

You average song is between 3-4 megs...so you could send one song under the limit of 5 megs to your E-mail account provided that you have a 5 meg account...but if you are trying to send more than one song this really isn't practical.

I would suggest simply installing KaZaA Lite (KaZaA Lite is a special version of KaZaA that has had all the "spyware" that KaZaA installs "neutered"...if you aren't familar with "spyware" then read my post here http://www.elitehackers.com/cgi-bin/uub/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=8&t=000644&p= )

You can get KaZaA Lite Here:

http://www.kazaalite.com/

I really would not recommend that you download music files at work (I suspect that you have a high speed connection at work) unless you and your boss are good drinking buddies.

I really recommend that you download them using KaZaA Lite from your home, but if this is not possible...let me know and I will give you alternative ideas.

I *can* do this - because I have high speed connection at home? But there's no point really, because if my connection at home is good, there's little need to do it from work.

What I did *before* that was drop a few bucks into a Zip drive. The cheap ones have 100 Meg disks and can hook up to the parallel (or printer) port (USB is better, but I'm maxxed out on USB). Or you can spring for the 250 one.

I often forward large files to personal accounts, but they are severely limited in space, and you still have the problem of getting them on your home computer, if you have a slow connection at home. Go the Zip route.

Kazaa gezzz.. I had the most embarassing thing happen to me in my entire life and it was Kazaa's fault. Ok not really, but this is what happened. I was downloading mp3's for pink and got some porn pop-up ad program. My father in law stopped by to fix the fire place and these porn pop-up ads kept coming up on the computer. It took me a while to figure out who to get them damm things to stop doing that. Oh and the porn pop-ups were NASTY!!! Nothing you want your father in law to think you look at. :blushing:

Picture the same thing happening at WORK.:blushing:
It happened to me at work and I had to turn the monitor off and reboot. :burning:

It all resulted from an e-mail I got.:burning:

Get the FREE pop-up killer from Earthlink. It's works great! I don't have to worry about pop-ups at work anymore.
