Drowing for me - I hate the water and it takes an eternity to actually drown. *guh* Being eaten alive would be no fun because that would take awhile too. I prefer something that's so quick I'd never know what hit me.

Well everyone has been talking about that suicidal gun weilding man that got shot today and that just got me thinking about death! Plus I love thinking about all the philosophical areas.

Nothing will make you think harder about death than the loss of a parent.

I have to try to mentally prepare myself for that one. My mom was talking to me about that the other night actually. You know ive only been to one funeral and it was my great grandmothers whom ive really never known. Im just waiting for a whole bunch of these old people to kick off in a domino effect.

I think all 4 of these would really suck.

You know, when I check out, I just want the big one, doing my normal thing and the ticker go, of course after my children are at least over the age of 21. The thought of my MIL raising them makes me shutter.

A friend just passed away yesterday after fighting throat cancer for more than two years. He was a very big guy 180 or so by the time the cancer was through with him he weighed 97. I had to carry him down the stairs this last weekend so that he could go to the hospital and get an emergency tracheotemy. The cancer was slowly suffocating him by closing off his airway. I think that that is the worst way any person could die. At least the struggle is over for him now.

If you ever catch on fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because I bet that's what REALLY throws you into a panic.

This blows my mind. Huntr was the same way. He only went to one funeral before I met him. I've been to so many I've lost count. Went to my first viewing (not the actual funeral) when I was 6, that was my grandfather. Since then I've lost 2 more grandparents, several great aunts/uncles, a coworker, a couple of Huntr's relatives. Shoot, there was a three week period when I was 21 where I went to 3 funerals.

None of them a parent and although I was close to my grandparents, I was a child, the last time was when I was 12. My remaining grandparent will be hard because we have more of an adult relationship. But it's not the funeral itself that is hard. After a while you really do realize that the thing in the coffin is not your loved one, just a vessel.

whoa, almost got deep there. not good for this early in the morning.

I went to dozens of funerals as a kid. Great uncles and aunts biting the dust left and right. Just got used to going, it meant good sandwiches and fruit salad.
Watched an AWESOME show on history channel last night about torture. When someone killed a family member, they'd toss them in a bag with a dog, pig and ape and chuck them in the river to drown. That gets my vote for sucky death. That and all the crap they did during the Inquisition. Rack? Iron Maiden anyone? Self castration? Fun for all ages:biggrin:

One TV newscast had this sentence. "The mother feared her son had drowned, or worse yet, been eaten by sharks." Which would be worse?
