Four-eared German kitten seeking good home

BERLIN - A kitten born with four ears is desperately seeking a new home because her owners can't afford to have her neutered, German animal shelter officials say.

Six-month-old Lilly, born on a farm in the southern state of Bavaria, has an extra pair of slightly smaller, non-hearing ears just behind the normal two. Vets attribute the phenomenon to a gene mutation.

Then she needs to fly to Germany and rescue the poor kitty.

My mother-in-law raised a breed of cat on their farm that was mostly white polydactyl (many toed) cats. I thought they were so pretty and they had the best personality.

But wait, there's more...
why is it that animals are overlooked for adoption day in and day out, until someone sees it on tv or in a newspaper/magazine ... then they flock to the pet like it's the second coming of Jesus? People should look at the websites for adoption centers and get that "chicken skin" feeling when the see a dog/cat available in their home town.
