Kwillia posted a link in the rose thread, and when I clicked it, I checked out the rest of the site ... Free Trees & Plants ... they take unsold stock from nurseries of trees, shrubs and plants that otherwise would get hauled to the dump and they sell them in units for $6.95 ... I just ordered a couple things to see what the deal is with it ... since my yard is still getting established tree/shrub wise, I don't mind having younger plants and stuff. I'll follow up when I receive my stuff and let you all know how it was. In the mean time, check it out ... the prices on the items they carry can't be beat, and it helps those with diablo's!

I just ordered:

2 units of Burning Bush Shrubs (total 4 shrubs)
2 units of Lilacs (total 4)
1 Unit of Redbud Trees (total 2 trees)
1 unit Austrian Pine Trees (total 5 trees)
1 unit Yellow Cannas (total 3)
1 unit Rose of Sharon shrubs (total 3 shrubs)

all for under $60! Try getting that from a nursery 'round here. Like I said, I'll post once I receive 'em and get them going.

four of my trees arrived today -- two redbuds and two austrian pines. we'll see how they do ... probably plant 'em tomorrow or Saturday morning.

Consequently, Tater cracked up when he saw trees in the mail box!

I'm sure it's strange for him to see something else that's "got wood"...

actually, he was amused that I was trying to "sneak" more trees and crap into the yard.

yes, they are small ... between 14-20 inches.
