The recognition of the name by the general public is so great that they often mistakenly refer to all racing boats in the class as Cigarettes."

I was hoping for something a little more specific by someone who has experience with them. Something like: It's a civilian recreational boat, or speed boat.

I was under the impression that it was a police/DEA interdiction boat.

I have watched the off-shore races on Lake Ontario and down near Miami. I have seen those type of boats on the water around here. The only crap about those cigarette boat is that it guzzles gas and goes very fast ... so what's your point? :shrug:
