Master and Commander was EXCELLENT

Ladies, probably take a pass. Wifey and #1 opted to do laundry and surf web after about 10 minutes.

Gents, the detail and feel of a 17th century man 'o war is STUNNING. Daily life, battle, maintenance and repair, food, discipline, navigation, medicine, the detail is fabulous. Story is very good. Characters supurb.

Two hour movie whose ending scene left me going "NO! Keep going! Let's go, go!!!"

I sat through the 27 hours of Titanic and walked out on Gods and Generals right after intermission. Master and Commander would've kept me glued for another hour EASY.

Closest thing to a book I've seen in a movie in a long time.

We just saw it this past weekend. Thought it was very good. Def. beat Dietanic hands down.

No pass for this lady.

I wanted to hate it, but got sucked right into the movie at the beginning...it was great!

I thought it was ok at best...
I found it slow-moving and dull at times.

"It's a flightless bird...it will be there when we get back".

Good movie.
