Looking for Poker friends

Hey,
I am looking for others who enjoy playing poker. I like to host games at my house and am looking for a few new players. I am also up to attending games elsewhere if you already have scheduled games.

I typically play low scale games, around $20 buy in. I'm really just looking for the fun of the game, not high stakes.

Feel free to email me at andy682@comcast.net if interested. I'm in Charlotte Hall.

Pssst,

You might want to use a little discreation in advertising this event or desire to have an event like this on a public forum. Poker is a form of gambling and is still against the law in Maryland.

You know this is a good debate topic Ken. Why is gambling illegal in the state of Maryland when they themselves promote the Maryland lottery? Kind of hypocritical if you ask me.

I agree, except, that since we know how Maryland is about taxing, how would the state get it's cut from the gaming unless they only allowed it at casinos they had a means of controlling?

Do you mean slots? Nope, the legislature of Maryland didn't support the voluntary loss of money, I think they prefer taxing us.

that sucks! if some poor shmuck wants to piss away his paycheck in a slot machine, and it lowers my taxes in the process, I say bring it on! :yay: it ain't my fault some peeps (myself included, when in a casino) have no self control. :blushing:

:yeahthat: And fee us to death. Take a look at your vehicle registration renewal when you get it next. :yikes:

Does anyone know if the fee hike is to make up for the the loss of potential revenue from slots? I thought I heard it was.

No kidding, I just got three renewal notices and about crapped. Luckily one of the vehicles is now a "classic" and I can get the tags for it for $54.
