Because it really is...unlovely. I mean, it's not crappy, just not as attractive as it could be. It takes me forever to redecorate because I have to get a picture solid in my mind, otherwise I make a bunch of costly mistakes (buying things that seemed like a good idea, then look like crap). But once I get the picture in my mind of what I want it to be, I make it so and keep it that way until I move or something needs to be replaced.

So I finally decided that I didn't want to reupholster the furniture, that with the right accessories it could come together. Then I finally decided that navy blue was going to be my accent color of choice. Then I ran around everywhere looking at what was available and getting some other ideas. And TODAY! I bought new throw pillows for the couch, a rug runner, new hand towels and kitchen towels, and a kitchen rug.

Looks terrific!

We still have clutter but that's unavoidable. I corral it as best I can and the only eyesores are Monello's corner and my workspace (which happens to be the dinette).

The dark color in the upholstery, is that blue or black? Since there is so much pattern, I'd find solid color pillows and rugs that match the dark color in the upholstery. OR, what I did in ours...our primary colors are black and gold, so I used a lot of red. I bought 3 matching red corduroy comforters, solid red, for the 3 beds that would be made up all the time. Red bathroom rugs (because no slip, and easy to wash). I keep the beige carpet covered with the red throw rugs to keep them from getting dirty. Red throw pillows. I have black blackout curtains that I'm going to cut down and make new curtains to replace the hideous curtains that came with the RV. I also have 2 small lamps. One on the kitchen counter, and one in the master bedroom. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I can your pics better today. I was on my phone last night. I do like the throw pillows. If I had your interior colors, I'd probably go more casual, with denim.

I pulled the denim pics from the interwebz.

Mine are the below. These are from when I first decided to "redecorate" the RV, so there's not much there, besides a lot of red.
My lamps were small, wrought iron. Take a beating, easy to store when on the move.

We went with a sort of nautical theme in the living/kitchen area....cammo for the bedroom....not much matches, but we like the eclectic look.
Sgt. Z just hangs and places nic-nacks around as he sees fit. (The Christmas Tree Shop is great for picking up junk)

If you saw it in real life you'd have a better idea. It's a hideously fancy pattern, and denim (which you know I love, along with plaids and paisley) wouldn't fit. The pattern pillows aren't perfect, but they'll do until I find the ones that are. They're nice and soft, though, so they make good nap on the couch pillows.

I love your trailer and you pulled off the nautical theme just right. :yay:
