Stage 1 upgrade or dfo

After I change the exhaust and breather on my Harley which is better a computer download for the efi on a Harley or is just installing a dfo (digital fuel optimizer) enough

Be careful changing out the EFI maps in you ecu. Be sure you get the code from a reputable source. Generally speaking, code written for your particular configuration will perform better than a piggyback box to trick the ecu.

Going with the ECM program change is the minimum that is necessary.

BUT, I know quite a few folks that have installed the Power Commander, and felt like they were on a totally different bike afterwards. Best mod that you can do to your bike, ,especially if you're planning on future performance mods as well.

I plan on having the changes done next week. Hope to see a big difference both in sound and performance. Still not sure which to install the Harley download or the DFO. I have had several people tell me the dfo is all I'll need after I change the mufflers and breather.

I have the power commander on the busa and it actually does make a hell of a difference. Also with some bikes you dont need to remap anything, While your better off finding someone in a bike specific chat roomand ask them if theve tried it. Then if you do put it on you can pick your map and fine tune it with your laptop if needed
