Medicare Benefit Will Cover Viagara
Sexual performance drugs like Viagra will be covered by Medicare's new prescription benefit beginning next year, along with medications for other conditions like high blood pressure and heart disease, Health and Human Services officials said Tuesday.

It really aggravates me to see something like this especially when you still have insurance companies who won't cover birth control for women and fertility drugs...

True but it is still a double standard. And I know Medicare shouldn't cover bc or fertility drugs because of what Medicare is but I still see it as an insurance company double standard.

Lord, I apologize.
Viagra isn’t something that anyone needs to live, it’s a recreational drug…….it shouldn’t be paid for by insurance companies.

Our insurance prices are bad enough as it is.

"quality of life" drugs should NOT be covered by insurance companies. Not BC, not fertility, not viagra, not migraine meds, not allergy meds, NONE of that type of stuff. Antibiotics? Yes. Pain killers (when recovering from surgery)? Yes. Life saving drugs? Yes.
