Last I heard it Maryland wasn't a part of it?
I'm trying to put together a boarding agreement realease form and don't want to be held liable... Does anyone know of any acts that protect barn owners?

Jersey attitude.
We do not have that statute in MD. Yet.

Julie Fershtman is a good equine law/insurance specialist, but her site is not working properly. She can answer questions, but she is in MI I think. Here's a link anyway: http://www.equispec.com/

I have several boarding contracts that I have made up over the last few years, but anything drawn up you should run by a lawyer to make sure all was legal. DId you try googling boarding contracts? There are some templates out there. You could also draw up some type of hold harmless agreement that could be signed by the boarder and notarized, but again, check with a lawyer to be sure it is okay. Anything signed is good to have incase something does occur.

Good luck.

Thanks AMP..
I have googled contracts .. I got a good one from another farm in VA and they have the Equine Act on thier contract. So of course I found out MD didn't have it. We are going to have our lawyer look over anything first.
