Suggestions for a weekend trip?

Does any one have any ideas on where to go for a non- tourist packed weekend in the beginning of May. Looking not to travel more than 3 hrs each way from So.Md. Adult only trip.

Northern Neck, VA. On the bay and there's a lot of nice places to eat.

I was thinking of Lurray caverns. I went with my mom when younger. I just want to ensure a more relaxing/ romantic atmosphere.
