nice swimming & walking beach

I will be spending some time with the family in both Washington and Baltimore this summer. Can anyone recomend a clean swimable beach on Chesapeake.
I dont want to spend the entire day driving to the Atlantic.

Max,

There are no swimmable beaches in Baltimore or Washington. Heck! They just closed Point Lookout for bacterial runoff from both. Drive South to the Ocean and pray.

BF and I were swimming up in the Patuxent at Benedict this weekend...is that safe? We were wondering why no one was out and swimming :shrug:

thanks I was starting to believe you and had flashbacks of that listeria (sp?) stuff that was in the water last year... PHEW!!!!

thanks for the tips, I thought atleast point lookout state park would have been ok.
