Found: Beagle in Mechanicsville

My neighbor found a beagle in Mechanicsville today (Dec. 16) in the Baptist Church Road area. Age is approx. 1 year, but not sure. I placed an ad in the classifieds too, but just covering the bases. If you or someone you know lost a beagle in that area, throw me a PM or call the number in the ad. BTW: she also is calling the Tri-County Animal Shelter and Lucky Ones in Charlotte Hall to see if anyone reported him missing!

Otherwise, I might keep this little cute pup for myself!

And dress them like cat's so they will also be cross-dressers?

hmm, you are on to something Rose. Perhaps if they become cross-dressers, they will revert back to their correct "behavior." After all, they weren't born homosexual right?

No, I think she just clued us in to her part-time job :really:

My neighbor who found the beagle had been keeping him at her house till this morning, when the little bugger sneaked out when my neighbor's hubby left for work. So, at 4:45 a.m., the little guy came running up to my front door while I enjoyed my first cup of joe and smoke of the day. I called her and told her I'd let him play with my dogs today, and tonight, i'll post a picture of him online as well.

He's a darn cute little guy! I'm thinking that if no one claims him, he'll make a nice addition to our little family. He's already fitting in just nicely -- banging away at the other two!

:frown: ya think? he must've heard sierra's lusty intro or something

on another note, just as quickly as I can claim him, I may very well have to give him up. I just called the Tri-County Animal Shelter to let them know that I have him now instead of my neighbor, and update my contact info with them. They did a quick check of the log, and someone called them yesterday afternoon reporting they lost a beagle about a block or so down the road from me :bawl: :frown: I just tried calling him, but got no answer or voice mail. :ohwell: I'll try again tonight.

Update on the Pup

Well, folks -- I thought I'd let you know that I found the little guy's owner last week (forgot to post and let you know.) I called Tri-County Animal Shelter again on Thursday, and they had someone call in on Wednesday who lives just down the road from me report his beagle missing. I called the guy, who told me the dogs name, and when I got home, and called the dog by that name, he stopped playing and came over to me. :frown: :bawl: He was such a cutie. I should have taken a dig-pic of him and posted it. I took him back to his owner Thursday night. My daughter was sad and :bawl: but I explained that if it were our dog missing, and someone kept him instead of returning him, we'd be sad too. She bought it.

Now, at about 2:30 this morning, some whack-job chic calls me crying "Do you still have the dog?" In my sleepy-state, I said, "No, I found his owner and returned him." She starts wailing on the phone saying "it's against the law, he's mine, he's mine ... " I don't know if it was some freak of nature recently released from the nut house or someone playing a joke (and if it's one of you, :nono: lookout! :scowl:). Considering we didn't get to bed till 1:30 from being Rachel's last night, I was not thrilled to be entertaining this see you next tuesday. :burning:
