I'm hoping that in 8 months most of the "resort areas" will be rebuilt. While researching on the net, this place looked really nice, in all the before photos that is.

I was thinking of Cancun or Cozumel for Christmas this year, since DQ will be with her dad; lemme know what you find out about the rebuilding effort. :yay:

I imagine it won't be too terribly expensive now, though. :ohwell:

We're haded to Cabo for Xmas. I've found that I like the west coast of Mexico much better than the east coast. The scenery is unreal, people are very warm, food is great and no storms. Xmas is also right in the middle of whale season and the hotel is AWESOME!

Thanks for the site, we still have 7 months till we visit so I'm hopeful that things should be back to normal for the island by then. I can't imagine the effect this is having on the people there with such a tourism driven ecconomy.

I know. :frown: The resort is asking TS owners to come down, use their condo, spend some money, etc. to help get the locals back up on their feet.

I think I'll try harder to work myself in a trip down there this year for Christmas ... because I care. :smile:
