Tyroid and kids

Hi,
Was wondering if anyone knows of a local doctor (Charles, St. Mary's) that specializes in tyroid malfunctions. My 11 year old daughter has been seeing a specialist at Chrildren Hospital but I'm not satified with the results were getting.

OK - it would help if I could spell "Thyroid".
Thought it looked funny when I typed it.

Sorry. I know a great endocrinologist but he doesn't take children. We travel to Children's also. If you find one, please post.

Dr. Julie O'Keef @ Calvert Internal Medical Center. Granted it is in prince frederick- but she is WELL known and damn good. She will find out what is wrong or not, quickly and effectively.

They also have a office in solomans! I highly recommend her.

We travel to Children's also. We see a geneticist, nephrologist, gastrointerologist and a hepatologist. What are the conditions of your kids? My daughter has a rare kidney disease called Renal Tubular Acidosis.
