Hey all how about listing riding events and info for the near future?

I know the blessing of the bikes is coming up, info posted here... http://www.somd.org/blessingofthebikes/index.htm Though I was just told that my "type" might not be welcome? No sport/metric bikes?? That would suck...

What other events do you uys know about?!

You can ride up with us. We're going to have breakfast at St. Mary's Landing and ride in as a group.
Whoever told you you wouldn't be welcome is an azz.

Thanks Aps, count me in!
We're planning on breakfast, them hitting the U.S. Angels bike show at the Mechanicksville Moose Lodge before riding up to the blessing.
The Angels are a female MC that works with disabled veterans, thought it would be nice to show some support for their work. The blessing doesn't take place till 1400, so there shold be time to hit both.

Is this the Sandy Bottom Run event? I went last year during the grand opening, but thought it was later in the year.

I can only guess that it's going to be the same run. This is Jaags anniversary Weekend/event.

Just saw a flyer for it. Tomorrow morning starting at 10am. Anyone want to meet up and go?

Rode that last year, Stenny and his entourage in the lead cars, police escort (slow), didn't leave the county. Cost included a meal at Bear Creek and a T-shirt.
I'm planning on doing the Ride to Thurmont this year (same day). Benifits the Children's Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
Bob's usually supports that ride too.. I may have to see you in Thurmont!!

Only been there once, earlier this year on a mascot retreival ride.
Beautiful area.. we (BMWBikers of Metro Washington) have our Rally (June) and our Oktoberfest(October dur) at Camp West Mar right outside of Thurmont a little ways into the mountains. Rally draws about 400 bikers from around the country, and the Oktoberfest usually about a hundred or so locals.
