Plastic Surgeons..

The time has come that I start looking into plastic surgeons to make plans for either a tummy tucky, or a lower body lift.

SO if anyone can reccommend someone that is good, and won't drink a pint before my surgery that would be great!

I don't care if they are in DC or VA.

There's a guy in Annapolis, but I can't recall his name. I can contact someone and get back to you if you'd like.

Dr. Don Fontana in Waldorf. 301-870-0600. I have been to him for consult and saw his before and after pics. I was referred to him by my SIL who is in the medical field. Also, heard from people who are patients of his that he is great. He has a great bedside manner. When I was in his office he had two ladies that drove up here from NC just for a consult with him. Also, http://www.austin-weston.com/ (they are in Virginia) but I have a friend of a friend who got the works there and was very pleased.

My sister just had a TOTAL face lift last week, and despite the yellow bruises, stitches, and bandages, I can already tell that she is going to look fabulous. She is a military dependent, and had her work done u at Bethesda Naval Hospital by the head of the Plastic Surgery Department. Again, she is going to look absolutely wonderful. Because of being a military dependent, her total face lift cost her about $1,800. Quite a bargain, I'd say.

I have another sister that had a total face lift, too, and she looks prtty good. One thing that I've noticed is that she has a look of "surprise" all the time because her eyebrows are a bit too tight. But other than that, she looks pretty darn good. In addition to her face, she had a boob job and a tummy tuck. She had her surgery done up at Johns Hopkins by one of the 3rd year residents, with the head of the Department overseeing the operation. Her surgery was quite reasonable, too, because of it being done at a learning hospital. I think it cost her about $4,800 - which is damn cheap considering all the work that she had done; normally it would have cost her about $38,000.

I can't wait to get a boob job and a tummmy tuck. That's on my list after I get my back surgery.

I had no idea this even existed. I think I'll get a new set of boobs and a new nose for starters.

Had I known I could have gotten my nose did when I was in the Navy, I would have had it done in San Diego without a doubt :yay:

Yeah, neither did she until she researched it.

She originally approached them about doing an eye lift, as she had very deep-set eyes, and the fatty tittue above her eyes got pretty heavy and rested on her top eyelid. This caused her to have almost no peripheral vision. She got the referral for the plastic surgery from her optomitrist. Once she met with the plastic surgery dude, they were going over the procedure for her eyes, and he kept mentioning all the other things that he could do to her face. When all was said and done, he was agreeable to do the total face lift. Her procedures did start out as being medically necessry (vision repair), but did evolve into something more.

I'm not sure what the Navy could do for you, Nickel, but they just might be able to do something. Want me to get more info for you?

Yup, I am on deck to have surgery on my back to ease my sciatica problems. I've dealt with this for 12 years now, and I can't do it any more. I can't even lift up Nicholas because of the pain. I have been home now for a week because I can't walk. I had to be taken by ambulance last week because I couldn't get up off the floor without my back muscles going into spasms. It's been horendous.

It seems strange to say this, but I can't wait for the surgery. I have my intial consult with the surgeon on May 11th, and hope to set up a surgery date soon after. I've been on so many painkillers that I'm in a fog. Poor Bob. He's been wonderful taking care of the house - and the baby for me. I couldn't do it without his help. Three tumbs up to Bob. :yay: :yay: :yay:

She was the same way. She could not wait to get the surgery. Not sure where you are going, but a doctor in Annapolis was highly recommended to her. She is gonna be home this evening so I might be able to update you on how it all went tomorrow.

Yeah, if you wouldn't mind, I'd be interested to know who she went to. One of my brothers-in-law had a similar back surgery by a doctor in Annapolis about a month ago, so I made my appointment with that same doctor. Perhaps your friend went there as well. I went to a spine specialist/surgeon in Fredericksburg, but didn't feel a good connection with him. I'm hoping that the Annapolis doc will be a good match for me and my back issues.

Thanks for the red. Obviously, you know nothing about me, and what I have done for my health, but I will take your comments into consideration and do this with them! :smack: :smack: :killingme :smack:  :lalala:
