Working for the weekend
I am leaving for Las Vegas Thursday, my niece has decided to elope but is dragging her immediate family with her. This is one place I have not been to, are there any must do things?? I am not big on gambling. She wants to go to a male strip club the night before her wedding, are there any out there?

There is anything you want to do in Vegas.

Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.
I have never heard of Lake Mead, I will check into that. I am trying to talk my niece into skipping the strip club and driving out to Hollywood for a night out instead, but she will not budge.

It's several hours to drive from LV to LA (each way). Hollywood is a dump full of hookers and druggies.

I went in March and stayed at the treasure Island..it's really nice. They have a cool show in the evenings. Check out the Ventian...that place it amazing! Make sure you look at the ceilings there...unbelievable.

It's been years since I was out there, but as someone already mentioned, check out the outside show at Treasure Island, as well as the volcano eruption next door at the Mirage.

Lake Mead is the 16th largest man made lake in the world. You can take a boat ride out to the dam and back. Wasn't real exciting, but pretty scenery! Plus, you get a whole different view of the dam.

Here is a couple of places that are nice..

Wynn, it has that upscale contemporary theme. Very beautiful.
The Venetian, This is my favorite place. You will have plenty of space in the rooms..They have really nice restaurants as well. The Grand lux Cafe is nice. They are own by the Cheesecake factory.. If you do not like the smell of perfume then I would advise to take an Advil before entering the Ventian. I believe they release a perfume smell out of there vents..
Now this year we went and they looked like they were remodeling the front of Treasure Island.. I heard they are getting rid of the ships...
hubby and I go every other year for business trip but he wants to go back in Oct..
Oh yeah one more thing Poker is now the biggest thing. I went 2 years ago and you can find the slots pack with people. This year everywhere we went the slots weren't as busy as they normally were. But when you go to the poker room you have a waiting list to get a seat... It is Crazy....
