any home cold treatments?

In My Opinion
Im dying here, and I dont mean that I just feel bad, Im dying.

im congested, have a sinus headache, a cough (cough cough) <==see?
and a fever.

I drinking the nyquil like its a coke and nothing is working.
have not slept in two days and Im starting to get a little cranky.

so, anyone have anything to try and knock this putrid virus out of me?

Alka Seltzer. I hate the stuff, but the few times I've actually been able to drink it all, it's made me feel better. :yay:

Ive used alka seltzer cold plus for hangovers (not that I have ever had one) and it works great.
maybe an alkie and a thera flue combined with a six pack of bud ice, 4oz of Segrams and some nyquil will help me sleep.

Good ole Vicks on the chest at night. Use warm salt water to clean out your sinuses. ColdEeze (zinc) and lots of water and rest.

I take two of those Nyquil gel-caps, and heat up my herb pack thing. It's a cloth sack thing with lavendar, mint, eucalyptus, and a bunch of other smell-good stuff in it. I mist it, nuke it, and sleep with it on my chest, and it helps me breathe when I'm stuffy/congested. If memory serves me correctly, Michelle Lea & Assoc. (the massage place in Leonardtown) used to carry them in a variety of sizes. They also double as an ice/heating pad for aches and pains. I keep mine in the freezer so it's always cold if needed, but can be warmed up in the microwave in 2 minutes. :yay:

not sure what it did for the cold, but damn sure tasted good.. hmmm, might have to make another.. for medicinal purposes.

I'm as Irish as Paddy's pig but, I swear by chicken noodle soup-not Campbell's canned or Lipton's dehydrated stuff-real chicken noodle soup and lots of fluids (turn down the suggestions for alcohol :whistle: ) stay in bed, take aspirin (or Acetaminophen aka Tylenol) don't call 911-unless your family finds you seizing, and stay away from everyone. Good luck, hope you feel better! :yay:
