Pelicans Freezing!!!

Brown Pelicans who normally live much further south than Maryland, did not migrate this winter and need our help. We have had three warm winters and a warm start this year so the birds did not leave. Long story short...they have been dying all along the Potomac shores of MD and VA in the past week. Orphaned Wildlife Rescue Center in Lusby, MD has been rescuing as many birds as they can before they freeze to death. The birds are now being rehabilitated in VA. Donations are desperately needed to buy fresh fish to feed the rescued birds as well as medicine. Pelicans can only eat fish of a certain size. If you can help with this heroic effort, please send a contribution to Wild Bunch Wildlife Rehabilitation 402 West Alexandria Ave, Alexandria, VA 22302-4204 or Orphaned Wildlife Rescue Center at 12199 Bonanza Trail, Lusby, MD 20657.
Thank You!!
