i'm new to this forum, but i've been faithfully visiting
my future in-laws and enjoying the awesome birding
opportunities in somd...hopefully i'll get to call it home
myself in a little over a year.

meanwhile, i'd like to share some of the birds i've
photographed. i'm not at all a photographer, and i'm a
very novice birder, but i'd still like to share with you some
of the awesome avifauna i've seen in your area!

(on the right, there are also seperate folder's for st mary's and calvert)

Awesome pictures. I really need to get a camera.
He's got a really good one. I don't remember what I bought him, but it was over $1,000. We put peanuts out on the weekends in the a.m and p.m. and it is crazy. I don't know how these birds communicate that the peanuts are out, but it's amazing to watch them.

They only seem to want to eat in the a.m. and p.m. We can put the peanuts out mid-day and they aren't interested. We also have some bluebird houses with cups below them that hold mealworms, which you can get at the local pet stores, sometimes. We have a couple of mating pairs that come back every year.

BJ's has 5 pounds of peanuts for $4.99. It's the only reason I keep my membership there.
