Is there anyone else who lives around Piney Point/Tall Timbers who couldn't get cell service in that area, but can get it now? I didn't for the last three years and would typically lose service around Beavue Rd, but I can get pretty good service now all the way to the bridge. I was wondering if a tower might have been built somewhere.

I'd like to get rid of the land line and strictly use my cell, but not if I'm only getting service due to a solar storm or something...

I have verizon too. My boys have Sprint and they are not experiencing any problems either.

I have at least gotten rid of Verizon land line and switched to Vonage. I have had that service for just over 9 months. I am saving money by using Vonage, but would like to cut it out entirely.

Since we will never get DSL, if I can keep a signal, I might as well just have the cell phone.

I live in piney point and the only way i get reception in the house is if I am in the back facing the virgina side and most of the time we get our calls disconnected by the signal. I have vonage too and too afraid to go to just the cellphone since the signal of the cell is soo darn spotty here.

I'm just outside of Callaway heading toward Leonardtown and noticed a few weeks ago I'm now able to get reception (usually two bars) INSIDE my house when before I was lucky to get anything unless I stood on my front porch in one particular spot. :lmao:

That's how it used to be for me :huggy: I would have to stand outside in the driveway with a cup of coffee (no cream) and one arm behind my back before I would get 2 bars.

It's fun trying to call Vonage support from your cell phone. They always want me to adjust the "vonage device" and I couldn't take the cell into the house or I would loose them :burning: It was so frustrating

Well I am glad I am not alone in the cellphone sucks here category but hopefully in time it will get better spookthis so we can get rid of vonage and just have cellphone. I am hoping in the next year or less to be moved toward scotland though but who knows its all wait and see mode right now.
