Hubby says its a corn snake, don't kill it! Take to a field or a brush pile. Something it can hide in. :howdy:

If it's from around here and is black with white markings, it's a rat snake. They will bite, but not venomous.

That is a nice, friendly, common Eastern Milk snake (http://www.oplin.org/snake/fact%20pages/milk_snake/milk_snake.html)
Good to have around..eats mice, rats and other snakes.

We let it swim away. :whistle:
How cool, I just drove through south Georgia and took some pics of where I used to run around as a kid and where I used to fish I saw this. I think it tried to outrun a truck and lost.
