I made a best offer on a CD, about a dollar less then the guy was asking, I wanted to round it off to $10 with shipping, the seller lives in MD, so it will cost 30 cents to ship it, not the $5.49 he is asking, and also is charging 5% sales take for MD residents...and he declines the offer, hes already making more money on shipping it than my dollar off would hurt. Oh well, he isn't getting my business.

You should change your title to "Some people on e-bay are greedy"

yeah i think you are right. One item I had sold I calculated shipping on USPS.com, it came out to $30, so thats what I charged on E-bay, turns out it fit into one of the flat rate boxes, I was able to cut shipping down to $10, refunded $20 to the buyer, and he ended up spending it on another one of my items. So, do the right thing and you may be rewarded.

Since when did it cost 30 cents to ship anything but a postcard?

:yeahthat: I was just thinking that same thing. You can't even send a letter for $.30, what makes him think a CD would cost that?

Media Mail is quite cheap. It is reserved for books, CDs, DVD's, and VHS tapes only. I shipped a heavy engineering textbook that I sold on ebay for just over $3

It is cheap, but it starts at $2.13 for the first pound. The 30 cent claim is still not credible.

I used to sell stuff on ebay....I charged more for shipping because there was handling involved....meaning i had to put stuff in a envelope, box, etc. (that costs money), drive to the damn post office and wait in line to send the packages.....if there was a little extra after postage, I also did delivery confirmation so the buyers couldn't say that I never sent it. Sometimes a little bit extra money helps pay for all the ebay fees as well....

if you do Priority Mail - it is anything that can fit in one of 2 boxes for $ 8.10 up to 70lbs boxes are free, post office delivers them to your house .......... :howdy:
or the plastic envelope is cheaper , by wt but I an thinking a CD stuck in a CD envelope should not cost too much ..........
you should be factoring in your Ebay Fees to you price ......... :ohwell:

Is it grey or gray? Why is it all so confuzzalating :bawl: wiki:
Grey became the established British spelling in the 20th century, pace Dr. Johnson and others,[74] and is but a minor variant in American English, according to dictionaries. Canadians tend to prefer grey. Some American writers tend to assign wistful, positive connotations to grey, as in "a grey fog hung over the skyline", whereas gray often carries connotations of drabness, "a gray, gloomy day."
Since his krama had a connotation of drabness, gray would be correct.

That is really tricky. But my eyes would be grey not gray.
