Is there a way to find out if someone taps into my computer or my email. My idiot stepson (I think) is getting into my email from wherever he is and sending some pretty bad information to my friends. How do I find out if it is him. I did change my password and it hasn't happened again, but is there a way for me to find out?

Install a keylogger on your computer to see if he is using it. I've used this one and it works great: http://www.elite-keylogger.com/

That will tell you what he's doing on your computer. Catch him with that, just to have a good reason to beat him down, then lock him out of the computer and change the password on your mail accounts.

What OS do you use? XP? Make your files private.

compmgmt.msc

Event logs and System logs tell you damn near everything.

I would first contact your email service to check for logs of ip's viewing your email. Then contact your ISP to change your ip - that is if your Stepson does not live with you.

It sounds like he is reading your email remotely.
