Do you have base access? There are a few recycling drop off bins around the bass, as well as going directly to the recycling center.

Where is a transfer station? I"m not from here.

St Marys
One is on Old ST Andrews Chrurch RD
About a Mile in from Rt 235 on St Andrews Church Road/also Rt 4 west to Leonardtown Road will be on your right.
Another one is in Vallet Lee. Take Rt 249/Piney Point Road off of Rt 5 in Callaway approx 5 miles in to Happyland Rd on your left about 2/10ths of a mile on your left is the transfer station.

Calvert
Just above Solomons and Dowell there is one in Lusby on HG Trueman Rd
At The Solomons Fire Dept There is a paralell road to Rt 4, on your Right
HG Trueman Rd travels about 6 miles paralell with Rt 4. That transfer station is about 1 1/2 miles from Dowell Road north on HG Trueman accross from the Food Lion and where all the construction is going on for the new Giant.

Sunday is recycle day at my house, I use the transfer station on Happyland Dr. So yes, they are open Sundays unless its a State holiday.

I don't recycle. It all goes in the trash. With the price of gas and the time it takes to haul it somewhere, why bother? When I lived in an area that picked it up, no problem. We were very good recyclers. Not doing it here. Calvert doesn't really do anything to encourage it as other counties do.
