142MPH? That was as fast as I could coax my rented diesel Mercedes to go on the autobahn. Audi A6s, A8s, AMG Mercs, and (of course) Porsche 911s were blasting past me like I was standing still. (AMG Mercs are electronically limited to 186 MPH per legal advisement. A quick flash of the memory removes that limitation.)

How come racing doesn't seem like racing anymore? I remember when NASCAR would turn 200+MPH laps in Dodge Chargers and Plymouth Superbirds.
