Watched my son play it on his XBox. It looks like they have taken the series to "hole notha level" with this one. Funny thing is that after watching it for a while , I got dizzy. That's happened before and usually while watching someone else.

No kidden. My wife came into the room to see what all the fuss was about. As I looked away to talk to her. The marines breached a door, entered a house and cleared the whole freaking thing before I entered the door.

I tried satellite awhile ago, it sucked. They have dual-band satellite but the problem is (or at least used to be) that a satellite can only send OR receive at one time, it can't do both. That's fine if you're checking e-mail but playing a game would cause extreme lag or not run at all.

I think this weekend I might move some stuff around. PS3 will stay on the 58" plasma in the living room and I think I am going to take my 32" LCD out of the dining room and put that somewhere with the 360 hooked up.

Now I bought it the night they were released, I took that entire week off to play:lmao: It was out of warranty when it fried, I fought with them and they cut the repair cost in half and shipped it free. Two months after I got it back they sent me a refund check because they extended the warranty.

Geeked out on it until the end yesterday. Overall, a good game. I didn't try it on VETERAN and I'll give it a shot but just playing it on regular wanted to make me want to stick a grenade in my 360 it was so frustrating.

One of the knocks to the game is that it ended so quickly. I've got it on Veteran and it's impossible at times. I almost put my contoller through the screen. It was good for the week but there are a few new titles coming out this week.

I thought about getting kane & lynch but it received a 6/10... they pretty much said it sucked and there was no on-line co-op play as expected, so that one is trashed.

Got that one and the new Need for speed yesterday. I played kane for a little while, I really do not the over the shoulder view. The 2 player co-op option sucks. The second player does not have free roam, they can not even look around. If I am shooting at someone they can not put their back to me and cover my 6.

The new Need for speed so far I am not into. It's all track racing so far, I have unlocked like 3 or 4 levels and I have done Grip, Drag, and time segment races. Maybe it will get better but it's not looking good.

Oh and I think I got to the store too early because the hottie wasn't working, but there was another one that looked good also :yay:

Make a bead line out of the door, turn right run full speed to the small room at the END of the room. As you are running toss a frag to your left where the guys come out. Once in the room take out the RPG's on the second floor, by this time you should have one team member with you. Lay on the floor, crawl to the area you threw the frag, toss another one because you probably didn't get them all. RIght by the copier there is a hallway, go down to the small cove on the right take out any guys that follow. You team will clear the area and you can snipe from safe cover :yay:

Yep a couple nights ago I did. The first room on the right is a bad place to be, if you pass it and get to the last room you get a few grenades, I just tossed them back. I only stayed in there long enough to take out the RPG's and when I did I had one from my team on my back. I crawled the entire way, tossed a couple frags ahead, shot two or three guys then I was in a safe zone.

Not yet... I wanna finish the game on Veteran (maybe get all the achievments) but Assassin's Creed is on top of CoD 4 for me at the moment.

I loved the sniper levels!!! It just took me forever to get the level straight with the ghillie suit. The enemy kept stumbling on me. :wah:

Oh crap, I think there is a target painted on my chest and back during online play.

Still working my way through it (pc version). So far so good. The graphics are outstanding and the action is constant! Won't give anything away but there is a shocking conclusion at one point that just blew me away!

I thought there was no way that Infinity Ward could top the WWII missions but I think they have upped the ante with this one.

Question - would any of you be interested in a Civil War game using this engine? The Battles of Gettysburg, Antietam and Fredericksburg would be great. I would imagine they might be able to put the player into some Calvary action as well. Running through the Shenandoah Valley either with or chasing Jeb Stuart would be sweet!

I would be interested, there is a Civil War game for the xbox360, if I am not mistaken it was created with/by the History channel. I was checking it out, but all of the reviews rip it a new a-hole....:ohwell:

Finished it this evening....what's up with the ending? It's almost like they ran out of storyline and just ended it. It seemed a little short too but now I'm going to try it on veteran level.

I would assume it's like hooking up the old Xbox. A hub and 4 ethernet cables and as long as everyone has unique System ID's, it should go smoothly.

I was surprised how fast mine came back. I was happy when it did. I had a lot of catching up to do on COD4.

The one thing I just realized is my aim sucks a$$. I got so used to the auto aim during the campaign, so when you pulled the left trigger and aimed down the sight, it would put it dead center on the nearest bad guy.

Multi player isnt like that. And it just shows how bad I suck. I would round a corner, get the drop on a dude, send a 3 round m16 burst past him, only to have him shoot me once in the head and keep on trucking.

Yeah, as Smooth stated, when you play on "Live", you get points awarded during multiplayer games for kills. Normally its 10 points for a confirmed kill and 2 for an assist.

Its also an easier way of knowing you killed someone without looking at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Its almost like a HUD. Keeps your eyes on the game.

It's right across the hallway but having hard ceilings and concrete floor means going in the attic to run the wire concealed or have it run exposed.

I've always been wireless.. I remember one instance where i was lagging while we were playing.. I'm not sure if you can blame that on the wireless or the carrier itself...

I figured out Im better working alone, and have better success in the free for all matches.

The last couple team matches, I either got stuck with brats that wouldnt shut up, or people that just wouldnt talk to each other.

I dont care how good you are, no communication and you're going to loose.

They get sued over everything. A last month somone filed a class action law suite over the screen resolution of Halo 3.

I just hope you get to pick the game you want instead of being stuck with the game of thier choise.

The problem that I have is that I'm spending my cash for 12-months/52-weeks worth of a service. I joined mid-December and so far in almost a month I've received about two-weeks of acceptable service.

COD4 in my opinion, Assians Creed is ok but too much of that sneaking around in the shadows for me. I much rather play COD4 or Bioshock and don't forget the new Rainbow 6 is coming out soon too, I assume that title is available on PC as well.

Just went out and bought it. It's on sale for $39.99 at Best Buy.

I loved CoD2 and played that online extensively, and from reading Prank's (Team Pandemic) encounters with CoD4, it seems the same. Apparently some patch just came out and fixed the sniper rifles so they aren't a lag horse causing you to miss every time.

Should be fun tonite.

Assains Creed is alright, I play it when I need a break from COD4. It's easy though not really challenging at all.

Those are the only two games i have that aren't sports though...i mainly play EA Sports games, i hear MLB 08 is going to be spectacular...

I could care less about having a special icon next to my level number, I can still kick almost anyone's butt even when they're at a very high Prestige level. That just shows that they play 24/7, but still don't have enough experience with the weapons and perk combinations because they're too busy ranking up and starting all over again.
Also, does anyone else think being on team Spetznaz is a disadvantage? it's so much easier to see your red beret and red clothing then the marines who are camouflaged with most of the maps. I think 80% of time when I'm on that Spetznaz team, we end up losing even though I carry the team with twice as many kills as anyone else.

Does anyone else get jagged lines while playing Assassins Creed? I gave up on that game because it was too distracting. It sometimes happens when playing Halo3, but never with CoD4 or GoW.

I didn't think it would be that much of a deal to lose everything, but it did suck. I agree, when i get back to 55 and have everything i won't be doing it again. I've had the game since December and can only play it on the weekends at night if we aren't out, but once i get started i find it hard to stop....

when I hear "Enemy UAV is online", I usually switch to my silencer pistol so I don't show up on the radar and wait a bit to make sure no airstrike will get me......and if I die I'll switch my class to my assault weapon with a silencer until their UAV is offline. I usually keep my distance sniping, but will switch to the M16 or Carbine for smaller maps like Vacant.

are you using UAV Jammer? Because if not then you will show up regardless if you are firing a weapon or not...

What really pizzes me off in these games is when you play teams and the other team has a bunch of high ranks, the weenies on your team chicken out and bail out at the last minute.

the other night on Halo Boy and I joined up and it set the teams. the other team had a bunch of high ranked people and the moaning began. so what you are going to possibly be slaughtered, it's a game :shrug: so the crybabies bailed and it was 5 on 2. Five Captains chasing Boy and I around.

We invented new ways to dies :lmao: It was kinda funny when we realized we were all alone. The other team even started being creative in killing us :killingme

I dies 23 times to 27 for Boy so I claimed victory

You need to play "ranked" that way you are matched up with people on your same skill level.

nah no jagged lines...but what is up with the random flashing on the screen?

If you hit the "A" button when that happens you get a different view of what's going on.

UAV Jammer is a waste, if you have the silencer it's better because you don't waste a Perk which you could use for Stopping Power (your weapon does twice the damage). I use Extreme Conditioning for dodging and running around people. I also switch between Bandolier and 3 Frag Grenades for Perk1. I try to flank or sneak up from behind people, I know about being seen on the radar once I shoot, but I'm good about killing them first, then trying to hide before their buddies come for me.

I hate that. Or when you play domination and you get a noob on your team that decides to be a sniper and go back to the same damn spot after every death. It's team members like that set the entire team back.

Just started playing COD 4. Wasn't big on first person shooters, and even after the first day I still wasn't sure. I got nauseous and I thought I would have to stop but I got used to it. Im guessing it is because of how big of TV it is on. When I started to play online it went from an ok game to a great game. I'm hooked.

I'm hooked too but I am going to have to stop because I suck and the possibility of getting better is slim.

Boy can run down the side and shoot 3 people is rapid succession each on a different side of the road. I cannot even hit a stationary target without skewing left and right for 15 seconds trying to line it up. :killingme

I do like shooting the chopers down though.

Well, I got the game on Thursday of last week, then went away from Friday-Sunday. I am up to level 30 now. It is a lot of fun. I've called in a dozen Helo's across my games that I can get a good snipe location. Block is definately my favorite map.

I can't wait until I get to whatever level it is when I can get the perk that lets me equip two different primary weapons. Sniper rifle for down range and the 3 round burst Assault Rifle will be a deadly combo.

The one thing I do find a bit annoying is the range on knifing somebody. Mutliple times I have come up on somebody from behind, thinking I'm close enough, attempt to knife them, only to have them turn and unload a mag into me.

Fun times though!

I like the game alot, its better than COD3 IMO....just havent played it enough to get up in levels, i think im at 13 or something lol.

When you come up from behind to knife someone, dont stop when you think your close. Keep moving and when you go to knife that person, you actually will automaticly lunge when your close.

Plus they can hear you moving... Unless you have the dead silence perk, most of the characters make a lot of noise when moving.

The overkill perk (unlocked at 38) is where you get to carry 2 primary weapons. but you have to be carefull. If you choose a sniper rifle as the first weapon, and say a m16 or m4 for the second, you carry alot less ammo for the second weapon than you think.

I think I need the perk that increases the punch when oyu hit someone. I think it is deep impact? when I do actually hit someone it seems to take more to kill them than when they shoot me. I will drop 2 or 3 bursts into someone and they still live, however I get shot with one burst and I am :dead:

The Red dot is great with the M16. Its so steady its almost if not just as accurate as the sniper rifles.

But like a red dot on a p90 sucks. the weapon reacts better with the Iron sites.

word of advice, the ACOG scope sucks. When you put it on your weapons it lowers its accuracy. Makes the weapon heavier and prone to moving around alot when looking through the scope.

Make sure you add juggernaut (sp?) also. That will help you.
