Adjust Vista to allow Active-X to install. Vista stops it cuz it can't ID the publisher. :ohwell:

What does this activex control go to? What site?
Never gets to a site. Window pops up saying Vista needs my permission to DL, I say "OK", Windows says: "Eff you Mike, we can't ID the publisher so we blocked his ass"
Well you get the pic....... :lmao:

It's the "IE add on" that blocked it

Have you checked out the Internet security settings?
Like in this pic?
ActiveX Security: Improvements and Best Practices (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Bb250471.aspx)
Yep, I enabled and disabled anything that could be blocking the add on. I no longer get the message that it blocked it but all I get is a red X in the chat window. Oh well. I didn't use chat much anyway.
Time to reset all the security garbage

just install XP

What you guys fail to realize about "just install XP" is unless you have a "retail copy," you're breaking copyright law if you move XP to another machine. When you buy a PC it has a OEM copy of XP on it that is licensed to that machine only...
:popcorn:patchy, patchy, patchy..... While I will thank you for your suggestion, I'll also point out that we really don't care about copywrite infringement. :lmao:

FF always works better than IE. And Vista is killing me...eats up so much damn memory, and has ton of holes in it. Everybody else hasn't caught up with its technology yet. Means you can't do ####!
